Dislocated Worker Program
Click here for: The 25 local Michigan Works! agencies operate programs for dislocated workers on a year-round basis to reduce welfare dependency and increase the occupational skill level, employment, and earnings of participants.
Workers Affected by Closures or Layoffs
Click here for: Workers who are dislocated because of a mass layoff or natural disaster are helped to find suitable employment as quickly as possible.
Trade Adjustment Assistance Program
Click here for: The TAA program provides aid to workers who lose their jobs or whose hours of work and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports.
NAFTA/TAA Program
Click here for: The NAFTA/TAA program provides services for workers who are laid of or whose hours of work have been reduced as a direct result of increased imports from Mexico or Canada, or because of a shift of U.S. production to those countries.
